Culmstock Pre-school Playgroup is a small, friendly playgroup catering for 3-5 year olds in Culmstock and surrounding area. We are Ofsted registered and also a registered charity.

Staff

Our Staff are all highly qualified, dedicated and experienced. They regularly undertake training that both ensures our pre-school meets all EYFS training requirements (e.g. regular first aid and child protection training), and we build our staff's knowledge and expertise in specific childcare issues such as behaviour management. Our Staff keep up to date with the latest developments in childcare issues and Ofsted regulations. We are supported by Devon County Council's Early Years and Trio Childcare Services which provide regular quality checks.

    • Committee Members

    We aim to value each unique child, nurture their development as they gradually move towards independence and in so doing gradually build their confidence and emotional preparedness to make the transition to school. Most of our children move on to Culmstock Primary School supported by friendships built at the pre-school.

    We encourage a great deal of parental involvement, allowing it to be a rewarding experience for both parent and child. We are managed by a committee of willing volunteer parents/carers and our sessions are run by a dedicated and experienced team of staff.
