Culmstock Pre-school Playgroup is a small, friendly playgroup catering for 3-5 year olds in Culmstock and surrounding area. We are Ofsted registered and also a registered charity.
Overview
We have been established for over thirty years providing top quality child care that evolves to meet the community's changing needs, yet holds true to our aims: Our aim as a Pre-school playgroup is to provide a safe, secure and stimulating play environment in which children can learn through planned activities that are well resourced while also giving children the freedom to develop according to their individual needs.
New Approach
We aim to value each unique child, nurture their development as they gradually move towards independence and in so doing gradually build their confidence and emotional preparedness to make the transition to school. Most of our children move on to Culmstock Primary School supported by friendships built at the pre-school.
We encourage a great deal of parental involvement, allowing it to be a rewarding experience for both parent and child. We are managed by a committee of willing volunteer parents/carers and our sessions are run by a dedicated and experienced team of staff.
